Brian built this beautiful Wormy Chestnut bench with Heirloom quality from all premium reclaimed American Wormy Chestnut. The lumber was kiln dried to further stabilize and clean any bugs or fungus. This bench is perfect to accompany any great-table or simply at the end of the bed!
The joinery, made with mortise and tenon joinery for heirloom quality. Metal “z” clips were used to secure top to base to allow seasonal wood movement – no cracks!
The fillers, Aero marine epoxys was used to strengthen, stabilize and fill for a beautiful, smooth and enduring top.
The Finish.- Rubio Monocoat was used for the finish. 0 VOC finish!
