Just wanting to share this touching story for Veteran’s Day.
A few months ago, #susansutterinteriors reached out to us wanting to know if we would make a table as a gift for a veteran family that she was doing a home makeover free of charge for. It was encouraging to see how many other companies also reached out to serve this man and his family.
The husband of the family was a Marine, who was wounded in combat back in 2010 in Afghanistan as a combat engineer. When he was only two weeks away from leaving Afghanistan, he was caught in an ambush that cost him his leg. It took years and over 30 surgeries to piece him back together. He rehabilitated from his injuries, married his wife, and they have two beautiful daughters now. Hearing this man’s life story touched deeply. The best part is the life he continued to live with courage and sacrifice after everything he had experienced. It was an honor to work with Susan on this project to serve this veteran and his family that gave so much.
